Day 20 of 30 Days of creative challenge

the pictures a little blurry but it will have to do!! So I used my cricut today for a school project!! What I actually bought it for 3 years ago lol!!  This is the start to my fall math bulletin board for the hallway. I used my new create a critter cartridge (Which I LOVE!!!)  i hope the rest of the board turns out like i'm hoping!!!

Off to clean my craft room its a disaster and theres still a mouse living in there!!!! ill post pictures when i get it finally organized!!!

Day 19 of 30 Day Creative Challenge

Man I'm really slacking off with this challenge!!! Anyways heres my 19th creation.

I made post it note holders from plastic frames! I love how they turned out!! I even used some of my left over paper to make a pen!!! I saw these one someone elses blog and just had to try it!!! These will be easy gifts for co-workers at Christmas!!!

Rain Rain go away...

Well Officially my towns under a State of Emergency in North Carolina!!! Been Raining since Sunday!!! We have had 16 + Inches of rain. Our road is now flooded with no way out!!! The rain better stop soon!!! Were off from school tomorrow so hopefully that will mean some crafting time for me tomorrow!!!! I'm attaching pictures of what it looks like outside our house!! Safe wishes to everyone else dealing with the Eastern North Carolina Flood!

Day 16 of 30 Day creative Challenge

Remember the Birthday invites I did a few challenges back???? Well today was the little Monkey's 1st birthday party!!! I needed a card and decided to keep with the monkey theme! So I used the Create a Critter cartridge and made the most adorable monkey card possible!!!

I just love it inside and out!!! I again welded the 2 monkey's together to make the shape card!



The pictures arent the greatest!!! I forgot to take a picture until i got to the party! So this is taken with my cell phone!!!

The month of October is going to be a killer month for me with Tons of projects and things to complete for my 5th grade class as well as my graduate class i'm taking!!! Stick with me as i create new projects!!

Day 15 of 30 Day Creative Challenge and Pink Stamper Challenge!

Well I got some energy back!! So I decided to do a challenge!!! and I love how it came out!!! The Pink Stamper has 5,000,000 hits to her website so she gave us a challenge!!! To create a project with a bird in it!! Well since I just got the Create a Critter Cartridge I used the bird to create a card. I Welded 2 birds together to make the entire card!!! I love it i need to do that more often with shapes!! Shes a cute little bird!! Let me know what you all think!!!

I Love the outside of the card!!! The inside is pretty neat too i think next time i would probably print out another bird for the inside instead of the shape.Have a great Evening everyone!!! Time to get ready to watch Grey's Anatomy!! I love the fall!!!

Day 14 of 30 Day creative challenge

Saw this idea on another blog awhile back (Wish i knew what one, but my minds just not working tonight!!) Ive been wanting to try it. I bought 3 silver plates from the dollar tree spray painted them this dark bluish gray color. then used my cricut to put vinyl letter on it. Im still looking for a way to hang them. Ive heard soda can tabs work to glue them on the back then hang on a nail. I think i might just have to try that!!!! Hope everyone had a great Wednesday!!! I'm so glad tomorrows my friday at school.....but then i have grad class friday and saturday all day!!

Day13 of 30 Day Challenge

• I hope everyone had a wonderful Tuesday!!! 5th Grade students are making me so tried lately! But I'm determined to keep up with my 30 day challenge!! Today's project wasn't the most creative but it sure does help my classroom for what I needed. I took my Cricut to school and used vinyl on my cabinet doors to put the labels up for my word wall!! I wish i could use it to put all the words up there but that would use up a lot of vinyl!!! Check it out!!

Well its been a very long Monday...But lucky for me my students were still asleep today!!! Anyways i needed a quick gift for a co-worker. So I made these fun Zebra print black and white thumbtacks!! Best I could come up with for today.

Day 11 of 30 Day creative challenge

While cleaning out my craft room I came across a wooden clipboard I had bought awhile back at Michaels. I decided to make it for my new classroom! I used Mod Podge and added scrapbook paper. I then sealed the clipboard also with Mod Podge!!! Mod Podge is awesome!! Need to find some new uses for it!!!!! So here's today's Project!!! Let me know what you think!!!

Day 10 of 30 Day Creative Challenge

Today's project was simple. I had a bunch of plastic red plates that I had bought at Walmart for $0.25 a pack!! (What a deal let me tell you!) So I decided to make another Cookie plate for Christmas. I love the saying on it!!!! But while working in my craft room today I found mouse poop!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now I'm on a mission to clean out and organize my craft room as well as the rest of the house! My brother-in-law is in the Marines and just got Stationed in North Carolina!! He's just over an hour away!! So I know we will be having a visit in the near future!! Guess my house needs a good fall cleaning!!! Now to only get rid of the mice and keep them out!!!

Day 9 Of 30 Day creative challenge

While at school today I was thinking of ways I could jazz up my desk and items on my desk!! The first project I decided to work on was my binder clips! I use them for everything!!! and the black is soooooo boring!!! So I added some scrapbook paper with a little Mod Podge and an easy way to transform some of the items I use every day at school!!! I will sure be making tons more of these sets for the holiday season!!!

hard week

hey everyone! I know its been awhile but i promise this weekend i'm going to get back in the swing of my 30 day challenge...With the craziness of flying home last weekend and then coming back to school with open house and meetings all week its just been crazy!!! SO i promise with some down time this weekend i'm planning on working on some new projects!!! Check back this weekend for updates!!!

Just finished these tonight for a friends son's 1st birthday party!!! Wish i had time to do more with them like add a vine and a banana but with all i had going on this was the best i got to this week!!! I made 25 invites!!! Hope you all enjoy!! I used the Create a Critter Cartridge!

Day 7 of 30 Day challenge

Well its been a rough week and only going to get harder....we had a death this weekend :( so things are going to get crazy because I've got to fly to PA Thursday for the weekend so i'm not sure how many posts Ill be able to get in while i'm gone. But tonight's project was special for our new angel in heaven!!
The Pictures not the best I didnt have time to get out my camera so i used my phone!! Anyways my entire Dad's side of the Family is HUGE Notre Dame fans!!! So I used sure cuts a lot and image traced the fight Irish Guy and added the words!! Cut it out on the Cricut on vinyl and applied it to a 6x6 ceramic tile from lowes!!! I'm going to take it home for my aunt to put where she would like to remember our newest angel Luke!!! We Miss you Buddy!!! :(

I Created this card for day 6 of my 30 day of creative challenge!! I also created it for Mojo Monday 155 Contest!! Requirements were to follow the sketch to create any type of card!!! I'm into Halloween right now so i decided to make this Halloween Card!

Day 5 of 30 day challenge and Cricut Card Challenge

Well i made this card for 2 reasons today!!! Day 5 of my 30 day creative challenge and for Cricut Cardz Challenge #40! The challenge was to use scalloped circles or ovals. I did an entire scalloped card. I added a pig on it!!! Such a cute pig from create a critter cartridge!

Day 4 of 30 day challenge

Well Halloween is right around the corner. I found this saying on Vinyl Read Designs. I decided to put it on a white glass plate to display in my house for Halloween!!! I wonder what else I could put this saying on??? I guess the possibilities are endless!!!!

30 Days of Creativity Challenge

Ive found a 30 day Creativity Challenge by Kendra Wiggins and Michelle Van Etten
The goal is to post a new creative item each day!! So I'm going to try and see what I can create for the next 30 days!!! Well since it is day 4 I better get posting



I made this Dry Erase board as a birthday gift for a friend!!! Super easy to make!! I took a picture frame and added a piece of scrapbook paper behind the glass. Then I used a dry erase maker and wrote on the glass!!! How easy is that!!!!





School also started this week so I decided that I needed a sandwich container that was all my own!!! I bought the container at walmart for $1!!! That's right I said $1!!! Then I used my Cricut to add my initials and a cool frame!

These are items I made this week. I'm going to play around with my Cricut today to see what else I can create for today!!! I hope you enjoy all of my creations!!!

The Pink Stamper Challenge

The Pink Stamper It's Cold Outside Challenge. The challenge was to make a Winter Card or craft! I'm not very good at designing and making cards look like anything someone hasn't already done! So I decided to make a Christmas Cookie plate for the kids to leave Santa some cookies and milk! I used a plastic plate and vinyl and cut it all out using the design studio! Then I layered all the vinyl layers (Which took awhile...I need to find a better way to do it!) But in the end I think the plate and glass came out really cute!!!

crazy day...turned into a great evening

well I had to test one of my students today since she missed the reading state test earlier this week....well in the middle of the test she ends up having a sneezing attack that kept going on and on and on!!! Not knowing what to do we called the office to see what to do...well her attack continued and turned into an asthma attack too!!! had to send her to the dr for meds...yeah was a really scary experience for me...i dont want to have to deal with that ever again!!!

But on a positive note ended up having dinner with 5 of my favorite ladies from school!!! Haven't laughed that hard in awhile...then went and got pedicures and my nails done for the first time ever thanks to Georgana!! gotta love that girl id be lost without her down here!! Now gotta get some sleep were off to go to yard sales in the AM and then i have a dress fitting at 11:00!!! Excited we're getting down there now!!!!

1st Recycled Project!!!

Ive been reading a lot of blogs lately on others who have turned trash into treasure. SO I decided to try for myself.
So I headed down to my local good will store and picked up a set of 4 wooden wall plaques. They had wooden palm trees on them doesn't really go with my craft room or anything else in my house.

I painted around the sides a gray color. The unfinished wood just didn't work for me.
Then I used mod podge and covered over the top of the pieces as well as i could and then i covered each piece with a different sheet of coordinating paper.
The back side is all ready to hang on the wall. These were originally from the dollar general for $2 each! I only paid $0.79!!

And my finished pieces!! Now I just need to finish cleaning and organizing my craft room and decide which wall I want to hang these on!!! Such an easy project to do and it only cost $5!!! So much cheaper than going out and buying something brand new!! I think I will see what other treasures i can find this weekend!!!

Crazy time of the year!!!

This is a crazy time of the year for all teachers out there! We are currently doing end of grade testing! I don't know who its more stressful on me or the students. Anyways among all the school work trying to clean up for the end of the year and praying the students pass the test and wedding planing I just don't know what to do with myself anymore!!!

Finally though wedding planning is moving along how it should be! Everything is done and planned for our July 10th beach wedding with just our families. Then we are going on a 5 night honeymoon to the Dominican Republic to an all inclusive ADULTS ONLY resort. (All of my fellow teachers thought that it was pretty funny we are going to an adults only resort! But yes i do need a break from kids for part of my summer vacation!) SO excited for white sand and turquoise blue water!!!

Among all of the wedding planning I'm on a cleaning out and reorganizing kick. Last weekend decided i need a new craft desk....so at 8:30 pm started looking on craigs list for something and by 9:30pm we had found and bought a big wooden desk locally!! So excited!!! Now i'm all about cleaning out and reworking my craft room...yeah not sure why i choose this time of the year to do all this but its all in the process. I hauled everything out of the little closet tonight and hopefully tomorrow night will start organizing and cleaning out old materials! I plan to post pictures as I go so you all can see all the work I'm doing. Found wonderful ideas online and cant wait to incorporate them into my craft space!!!

well i keep telling myself to go to bed going to be a long day of walking around the room praying my students pass the test tomorrow. Keep myself and them in your prayers we will sure need it for the next 3 days!!!

Today's bracelet is a hammered Circle bracelet! I love the hammered look gives the bracelet lots of texture and the different size circles are beautiful!

Today's post is on a set of twisted square earrings! I love these because of the twisted element! Perfect to wear to work and then for a night out on the town!!!

Today's design is a cascading Swarovski Crystal necklace. I love hove they fit together and all of the color play off each other. The color scheme is blue to blue gray. I am going to play around with this design and try other colors as well.

This is one of my many paper bead designed bracelets. This one features a blue and white paper bead on memory wire which makes a wrap bracelet. Many other colors available.
